Some guidance on the content
- The main objectives of the keynote is to highlight the issues and challenges at stake, the current trend in innovations in this field and needs for innovation, challenges in the uptake of the innovation and translation into decision making.
- We are sending you the selected abstracts of your session so you could if relevant relate to the "innovations" that will be presented.
- The idea of the whole session including your keynote is to give material / initiate debate for the brainstorming discussions ; you can ask questions that you won't address but that would need to be addressed during the discussions.
Organisation
Please send us your presentation by email (isessah-innovsur2018@cirad.fr + isessah-innovsur@alphavisa.com) the week before the conference or make it available at the presentation desk in the registration Hall one day before your presentation time.

Content
- The main objectives of the oral presentations during InnovSur forum are to present current innovations in surveillance (targeting a specific aspect of your session), the challenges they address, what they are (briefly), which stage of development, which level of practical application and results/impacts if relevant; what would be needed to ensure their uptake by decision makers and their inclusion into surveillance policy; what are the remaining challenges and the needs.
- The idea of the whole session including your presentation is to give material / initiate debate for the brainstorming discussions ; you can ask questions that you won't address but that would need to be addressed during the discussions.
- You don’t need to expend too much on the context to set the scene as this will be covered by you session keynote. But it will be important to highlight the challenges that have led to the innovation you’re presenting and also its context in terms of other similar initiatives ongoing.
