Photo contest

Theme: « Microbes »

For the 2025 National Congress ‘Microbes’, we invite you to capture the strong and representative moments of your universe by participating in SFM photo contest.

Requirements of the competition

• The photographs must show microorganisms studied by the contestant.
• Photos must be personal, original and free of copyright.
• The author(s) must be a congress participant and amateur photographer. All congress delegates can participate, except for the members of the SFM executive board.
• Send us one or more photos (up to 5 photos) in black and white or colour in .jpg or .pdf format and in high definition: 300 dpi. (All contestants remain responsible for the technical quality of the photos submitted.)
• Photos must be sent by email, or by wetransfer (free up to 2 GB), to the following address:

• Deadline for sending photos: Friday 12 September 2025 at midnight.

Who will be the jury?

• The jury will be composed of the delegates of the Microbes congress.
• The choice made by the delegates will be validated by the SFM office which will be sovereign and its decisions deemed final, based on the aesthetic quality of the photo, its originality and conformity. Participation implies acceptance of the rules in all their forms and without any restriction. Each contestant acknowledges having read these rules and accepts their provisions.

Advertising

• Any participant authorizes the use of his work by the SFM, during non-profit promotional actions. The SFM undertakes to mention the name of the author. No compensation for the use of copyright will be granted by the SFM.
• SFM reserves the right to postpone, modify, cancel or renew the competition if circumstances so require, without incurring any liability in this respect.
